New Facilities Allow College to Serve Growing Student Population

WEST COVINA, Calif.— With the need for qualified health care professionals on the rise, North-West College recently expanded its West Covina campus through the purchase of an adjacent property located at 2009 West Garvey Avenue, North. Previously an early childhood education center, the property is currently undergoing renovations to transform the space into classrooms for the allied health education provider.

“The demand for trained health care professionals continues to increase,” Chief Strategy Officer Serjik Kersachekian explained. “So we are always looking for opportunities to create Quality Growth. This expansion is a great way for North-West College to do exactly that.”

A portion of the new campus is slated to open in September 2014, in time for a new nursing class as well as many other of the College’s short-term programs. North-West College’s Executive Director Brooke Allen shared that the purchase could not have come at a better time.

“The new building space gives us the room we need to continue to provide a quality education and supportive learning experience for our students,” Allen said. “It also allows us to meet the needs of our growing student population.”

With 10 short-term programs, the West Covina campus currently serves day and evening students in six contiguous campus buildings which contain classrooms, skills labs, as well as computer labs and student union areas.
