North-West College Expands Access to Healthcare Education with New South Gate Campus
New campus opens doors for students across Southeast Los Angeles
South Gate, CA – North-West College is proud to announce the opening of its newest campus in South Gate, California, a meaningful step forward in bringing accessible, career-focused healthcare education to the heart of Southeast Los Angeles County.
The South Gate campus was thoughtfully established to also serve students in surrounding communities including Downey, Lynwood, South Los Angeles, Huntington Park, Bell, Paramount, and beyond. By expanding into this vibrant and growing region, North-West College continues its mission of meeting students where they are and creating pathways to stable, fulfilling careers.
The campus will start with the following programs: Medical Assistant, Vocational Nurse, and Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. Each program is designed to provide hands-on, real-world training that prepares students to confidently step into the healthcare field. Classes are expected to begin later this summer.
Conveniently situated on Long Beach Boulevard near Firestone, the South Gate campus offers more than just a place to learn. It provides a supportive, career-driven environment where students can build skills, gain confidence, and take meaningful steps toward a better future.
“At North-West College, we believe education has the power to truly change the trajectory of someone’s life,” said Farrah Fuerst, Special Projects Director for North-West College. “Opening our South Gate campus allows us to expand that opportunity in a meaningful way, investing in students and the communities we serve by helping turn goals into lasting careers.”
This quality growth reflects North-West College’s ongoing commitment to empowering students through practical training, personalized support, and a deep connection to the communities we serve.
