Glendale Career College (GCC) To Honor New Graduates at Fall Commencement Ceremony

Event Underscores College’s Unwavering Dedication to Equipping Students for Success

PASADENA, Calif.—Sunday, November 3, will signal the completion of many months of rigorous career training for 78 Glendale Career College (GCC) graduates, as they join more than 500 graduates from GCC’s sister school, North-West College (NWC), at the College’s Fall Commencement Ceremony. The event will be held at the Pasadena Civic Auditorium, where friends, family members and Team Members from the College will gather to celebrate the new grads’ educational achievements.

“I am looking forward to honoring our graduates at our Fall Commencement Ceremony!” shared President Mitchell Fuerst. “These students have overcome tremendous obstacles to reach this milestone and we cannot wait to recognize them and all of their hard work.”

Graduates will cross the stage by program, with individuals representing five of the College’s programs, including Central Service Instrument Technician, Medical Assistant, Surgical Technologist, and Vocational Nurse, along with Associate of Arts in Nursing program. As part of their program, each student participated in a combination of classroom-based learning and hands-on training opportunities. This practical approach allows individuals to put their learning into practice and graduate ready to hit the ground running in their chosen field.

Students and attendees will have the honor of hearing from keynote speaker Matthew Stewart, Co-founder and CEO of National Service Group (NSG), which operates College Works Painting and Empire Community Construction. Stewart serves on the board of directors for multiple organizations and has been recognized for his leadership and organizational expertise. He is passionate about mentoring Millennials and Generation Z and is looking forward to encouraging the graduates at Sunday’s ceremony.

“We are excited to gather for Commencement—to mark this milestone moment for our students and all of those who have cheered them on every step of the way,” Fuerst explained. “There is nothing better than watching our graduates walk across the stage, knowing that each cap and gown represents a life changed by the quality career training we provide here at Glendale Career College.”

Friends and family members unable to attend Commencement will be able to watch the full ceremony live on November 3 on the Glendale Career College Facebook page at facebook.com/glendalecareer/.
